On every article detail page the header meta line shows author, dates, reading time, views, likes — and the comment count. That count is not plain text: it is a same-page link to the comments section. You do not need an account to use it — it works for every reader on every published article.
How to use it
- Look in the header. Under the title, after views and likes, you will see something like "3 comments" (or "1 comment" when there is only one).
- Click the count. The page jumps straight to the
comments block further down — the section with
id="comments". - Stay on the same page. The link uses
href="#comments", so the browser scrolls in place instead of opening a new tab or leaving the article.
What you will notice
- A light underline. The count uses class
ja-post-comments. It keeps the same text colour as the rest of the meta line, with a dotted underline so it still reads as a link. - Clear focus and hover. Keyboard focus and hover pick up the accent colour so you can tell when the control is active.
- Always present. The link is there even when the count is zero, so you can jump down to leave the first comment when you are signed in.
Good to know
- Same-page only. This is in-page navigation, not a feed
or a separate comments URL. After you jump, the address bar shows the
#commentshash so you can copy or bookmark that spot. - On every article detail page. The markup lives in the article template next to the other meta chips. Start reading from https://jmtechpower.com/articles, or go home at https://jmtechpower.com/.
