If you keep several JM Tech Power lists open in different tabs, they used to look the same — every tab just said "Articles" or "Projects". Now the tab title names the view you are on.
What the title shows
When you search or filter, the parts of your view come first, then the page name. For example:
- Articles at https://jmtechpower.com/articles
— your search words in quotes, the category, the tag and, from page 2 on, the
page number:
“garden” · Guides · Page 2 — Articles. - Projects at https://jmtechpower.com/projects
— search words, category and page number:
“garden” · Tools — Projects. - Updates at https://jmtechpower.com/updates
— search words and the type chip:
“garden” · Fixes — Updates.
With no search or filter the title stays exactly as before, for example "Articles - JM Tech Power".
Why it helps
- Tabs and history. You can see at a glance which tab holds which search, and your browser history lists them by name.
- Bookmarks. Bookmarking a filtered view gives it a useful name straight away.
- Screen readers. The page title is the first thing announced when a page loads, so you hear which view you landed on.
Good to know
- Your words are shown safely. Whatever you typed is escaped as plain text in the title, never as part of the page.
- In Chinese the page number reads 第 2 页, and the page names read 文章, 项目 and 更新.
- Shared links stay tidy. The preview title used when you share a page on social apps stays the plain page name, so your search words are not part of the preview.
- Only the tab title changes; the page itself looks the same.
