Passwords are hidden as dots while you type, which is good when someone is looking over your shoulder but makes typos hard to spot — especially on a phone. The sign-in page at https://jmtechpower.com/login and the register page at https://jmtechpower.com/register now have a small Show button inside each password field.
How to use it
- Press Show to see the password you typed. The button changes to Hide; press it to mask the password again.
- On the register page the password and Confirm Password fields each have their own button, so you can check one without revealing the other.
- In Chinese the button reads 显示 and 隐藏.
- Your cursor stays in the field, so you can keep typing straight away.
Safe by default
- Hidden again when you submit. When you press Login or
Register the field goes back to a normal password field
(
type=password), so your browser or password manager still offers to save it as a password. - Nothing half-works without JavaScript. The button stays hidden until the page script is ready, so if scripts are off you simply get the usual password field.
- No account is needed to see it — it is there for anyone signing in or signing up.
For screen reader users
The button is announced as "Show password" or "Hide password" (显示密码 / 隐藏密码 in Chinese) and reports whether it is pressed, so you always know which state the field is in.
