Your public profile page: what it shows and how to make it yours

← All articles Email RSS Atom

When people click your name next to a project on JM Tech Power, they land on your public profile page. It is your corner of the site: who you are, and what you have built.

Where to find it

Your profile lives at https://jmtechpower.com/<your-handle> — the handle is the short name shown after the @ on the page. Accounts that do not have a handle yet use a fallback such as u12, so every account still has a working address. The quickest way there is the View public profile button on your My projects page.

What visitors see

  • Your avatar, your display name (your nickname if you set one, otherwise your username) and your @handle.
  • Your bio, if you wrote one.
  • Projects — the projects you have published.
  • Starred — public projects you have starred, a handy way to share tools you recommend.

Who sees what

  • Visitors only see your public, approved projects.
  • When you look at your own profile, you also see your private projects, marked 🔒 Private — nobody else does.
  • Your email address is never shown on the page.

Make it yours

  1. Go to https://jmtechpower.com/edit_profile to set a nickname and write a short bio — a line or two about what you make is plenty.
  2. Click your name in the top bar to open your account page, and upload an avatar picture there.
  3. Publish a project and star a few you like — the page fills itself in.

Coming later: a homepage of your own

We are building personal homepages at <your-handle>.jmtechpower.com, which you will be able to style yourself. The groundwork is in place but it is not switched on yet: today your profile stays at the address above. Watch the Roadmap and the Updates page for when it arrives.

Take a look at My projects and press View public profile, or go home at https://jmtechpower.com/.
